A care home isn't the only solution

One of the hardest decisions you will ever be faced with is what to do when an ageing parent or other close relative starts to show signs of no longer being able to look after themself properly, or begins to struggle to keep on top of simple household tasks.

Deciding what's best for their future is always difficult and, as a close relative you want to be sure that you are doing the right thing. Moving someone into a residential home is a big decision involving careful planning and preparation - you have to decide in which area to look for a care home, then visit all the homes in that area and choose the best one. Then comes the trauma and upheaval of the move itself and finally the distressing task of selling your loved one's house and furniture. The whole process can be very stressful for everyone involved.

There is an alternative

If you opt instead for 24-hour care at home, you avoid all this stress and upheaval. Given the right help and support from a professional care provider, your loved one can stay in their own home and can continue living their normal life. Not only will this enable them to maintain the quality of life they are used to, it will also bring peace of mind to you and your wider family.

Every client is contacted once a week to check they are happy with their care and receives a visit every 4 months from one of our Care Managers to have their care needs re-assessed.

We also carry out unannounced spot checks on our carers every 3 months to ensure they are maintained the high standards of care we expect of them and they all receive an annual appraisal.
