The is a question that we get asked pretty much right at the start of an enquiry - how much is care at home going to cost?

Care at Home does have a minimium fee of £650 per week for care for the elderly and then this price goes up depending upon the level of care required. For example, a client that is looking purely for a bit of companionship would likely pay the minimum £650 charge, whereas a client that is confined to a bed or "Bed Bound" and requiring a lot more care, then this charge would reflect the extra work involved in this case.

If you are reading this elderly care forum and have a question please feel free to ask it here and we will be happy to help.
[does this mean that a carer will be paid accordingly or is it a flat rate not relative to the level of care?
Hi Happyuk - yes carers are paid according to the job being done, which is why we have to charge more to the client. It is only reasonable to pay a carer more where the caring required is of a higher demand and as a result we charge more for the job, I hope that this answers your question.
Hi friends,
Carers are paid high if care is highly specific. They are paid more than £650 for highly specific services. Home care is provided by carers at the home to elderly who don't want to go to nursing homes. So it is one to one service for an individual who is suffering from any kind of disease. Cost would be increased for Elderly care by adding more demanding services.
the cost maybe higher than before...
its a matter of bid if any one have to optimize their home care with specific criteria.
The care cost is very high in my area
i think the figure would depend on the rate of your area and the insurance you have..
It's been quite some time now. What's the normal or regular rate for home care in the UK? I just want to compare prices for now. Thank you.
Cost of care at home may be higher because a caregiver will come at home and served, in this he includes the charges of its services and other expenses he made.
