It is important to know that the present Government is now beginning to recognise the important of staying in your own home, instead of being pushed into a residential or nursing home. Funding is being set aside now to encourage people to remain in their own homes so that they can be cared for, whilst at the same time, avoid the upheaval of moving.

Let's face it - moving at any stage in ones life is stressful, so if it is not necessary then why do it? Moving at any time of life is regarded as one of the most stressful events and this is no different at a stage in life where you require extra help and support, if anything it might be even more stressful. It is therefore, vital to reduce any stress and by staying in your own home there is no disruption to the way you live. If a special bed is required or a stair lift or whatever other adaptation to your home is necessary - these can all be done at a minimum of disruption to both the person receiving the care and to the family.

The live in care that Care at Home provides is as good, if not better than that provided in a nursing home and in particular you have one-on-one personal care. You decide when you want to get up in the morning and when you want to go to bed. You can have visitors at any time you wish and you can even keep you pets, if you have any.
